Beni Ouarains are the most famous of all Moroccan rugs. These days the old vintage pieces are not easy to find, they are becoming collector items. Real beni ouarain rugs like this one were originally made to be worn in the rough Atlas mountain's climate, as well as to be used as bed and sitting area. From late 1930's architects like Alvar Aalto, Le Corbusier and Frank Lloyd Wright made these rugs famous worldwide by setting them on floor and therefore making them important piece of the interior design. They are timeless art, made from high quality sheep wool and berber symbols that talk their own language.
